Basic question: how to feed several actuators with thesame battery?

Hi,

I'm not that familiar with mechanics (I'm studying computer engineering) so this question might look silly.

How do you feed several actuators with thesame battery? Do you just split the + and - cable on the battery? (and does it keep plusminus thesame voltage?)

Thanks in advance!

Hi Stijn,

There are two way to connect several batteries. Its paralel or serial. When it is in serial then the voltage will be the sum of the batteries and the same current. When parallel it will be the voltage of one battery but the current will be higher.

I think you can now imagine how it would be with actuators?

Have you taken already a look at the groups directory. There is one for dutch speakers :-)

Roel
BTW I would not split the cable but use a plug to connect it to two other cables.
Hi Roel,

Thank you for your fast reply!
So a parallel connection will be a good choice, I will research more around this subject.

And what a wonderful guess, how did you know my mother tongue is dutch?

Stijn
Your name is soooo Dutch ;-)
Hi Roel,

I should have guessed that one ;-) I joined the user group.

Stijn
do any of you have a diagram for this? might help the situation
