Today we introduce you to the Ardweeny from Solarbotics. The
Ardweeny is the smallest bread board friendly Arduino compatible
component. The Ardweeny sits on top of an ATMega 328 chip and
easily mounts to a bread board giving you a minimal footprint.
Furthermore, the backpack kit comes with headers which allow you to
plug in a USB-to-TTL FTDI type cable or adapter. Lastly, it fits on
an Atmel ATmega168 as well!
Features
Fully Arduino-compatible!
Stacks onto the back of an ATmega328 chip (included)
Takes same 28-pin footprint as the microcontroller itself!
Features Pin-13 LED and reset button
Simple construction - only 7 parts plus pins & PCB!
Ideal for breadboard applications

Conclusion
In a nutshell, this is a great kit to get you started with the
basics of electronics. You will get to solder and start programming
against a microcontroller that is popular and supported by a large
community. Like other Solarbotics kits, this is intended for
educational purposes and meant to be a learning experience.
However, you can easily take the Ardweeny and make it do whatever a
standard Arduino board may do. Provided ofcourse, you use a
prototyping board/bread board to help you out with this.
