For about 6 years I designed automated assembly and test equipment for a hearing aid manufacturer. Now I play around with mobile platforms. Mostly using Arduino and Parallax processors
my kind of robots are off road with FPV
my current project, on the wild thumper chassis
I've always had an interest but never done anything beyond Lego Mindstorms or helping my boys with the high school FIRST Robotics team. Now that my kids are grown up and (almost) out of the house I want a new hobby.
nothing in particular, I'm a tracked robot enthusiast :D

Hi Danny, we are building a robot prototype with kinect camera as main exploration sensor. We hope have a great experience and a lot of fun. We have some experience on scene reconstruction and monoslam but this is quite different.
We'll tell you what's going on in our project
yes, i'm ordered some parts for my own robot, it will be 4wd platform with arm and some sensors. very interested in slam and ros. i'll publish results. but for now enjoy other people creations.

I plan on doing a robot which is able to make a 3d representation of his environment (using a XBox Kinect).
It looks like there is a lot of information on this site so I registered ;)
